Grotto San Michele (Bellinzona)

Since 2011, the Scuola Specializzata Superiore Alberghiera e del Turismo (SSSAT) in Bellinzona has been running the catering and banqueting activities in Castelgrande. Our goal is to create a space for students attending the hotel section to conduct practice and learning activities. They are given the opportunity to gain experience outside the school environment by being in direct contact with customers.

*Catering offerings consist of two restaurants: *

The Restaurant Castelgrande, cited by the Gault Millau (14 points), Guide Bleu (7/10) and Michelin guides, offers gastronomic cuisine that offers traditional French dishes reinterpreted with a modern twist.

*The Grotto San Michele - with its panoramic terrace and characteristic vaulted room, offers typical and local dishes. *

*Banqueting is offered in the Banquet Hall (up to 120 guests): an ideal place for meetings, coffee breaks, weddings and special occasions. *

Since November 2000, Castelgrande and the nearby Montebello and Sasso Corbaro castles have been part of the UNESCO World Heritage Site.

Complementing the picturesque setting are the vineyards bordering the castle walls cultivated with merlot grapes by the Cantonal Farm of Mezzana.
