Our fish and meat specialties are known far beyond the region. For example, the sole from the grill. The Chateaubriand, served on the square and of course the coveted Herren Siedfleisch, our specialty of the house. Or one of the many other dishes - of vegetable origin, of course - from our menu, which is inspired by local and selected international cuisine.

History

**159 years and 5 generations

The long history of the Oberes Triemli restaurant began almost exactly 159 years ago: Back then, in 1859, Jakob Hofstetter built the residential house with inn, barn and stable.

From 1946, the first structural changes were made: A butcher's shop with apartments was built; miniature golf, bowling alley, a self-service buffet for the garden restaurant and garages complemented the building with a wide range of offers.

In 1984 the miniature golf and the bowling alley were demolished, the garden restaurant was rebuilt and new halls were built. Since that year the restaurant has been presented in its present form.

In 2009, exactly 150 years after the first building was erected, Fabian Gallmann, a great-great-grandson of Jakob Hofstetter, took over the management of the restaurant in the 5th generation. And even today, the Hofstetter Säli and the Gaststube are still preserved in their original 159-year-old form. Other rooms remind us of the eventful history of the house: where today the Metzgerstübli invites you to dine, there used to be the butcher's store, the Triemli Saloon and the Triemli Saloon Bar were store premises - and in the early days of the eventful history of this house, the barn stood there.
