The restaurant, built in 1994 in alpine hut style, is located at 1956 m above sea level in the midst of a unique mountain world; in the Ski- Hiking- and Adventure-Area****Grindelwald First. Sit back and let yourself be spoiled by our good home-style Swiss cuisine.

In order to be able to convey the uniqueness of our valley to your palate as well, we source our products primarily from local and regional producers and suppliers****n.

Visit us also in summer; with the gondola, on foot, with the velo or after a fast ride with the first plane. Let yourself be enchanted by the unique fauna and flora.

The mountain restaurant Schreckfeld in Grindelwald is located just 50 meters next to the First cable car, in the middle of the impressive mountain scenery. Our served restaurant can accommodate up to 150 guests. So you will always find a free place with us. Take your time and strengthen yourself with good home cooking.

Our kitchen offers a wide range of gourmet menus for young and old. Our chefs use mainly regional products.

In winter you will find a satellite kitchen in the snow on our terrace. The guest can thus watch the chefs directly during the preparation of the desired menu.

WINTER ACTIVITIES

Around the restaurant there is a lot to experience. In winter the mountain lifts are in operation and you can spend hours on the kilometers of slopes. In addition, there are great opportunities for sledding and beautiful hiking trails.

SUMMER ACTIVITIES

In summer, in addition to nice opportunities for hiking and mountain biking, there is the First Flieger, an800m long wire slide from First to Schreckfeld. Or ride the Trottibike down into the valley and enjoy the breathtaking view.
