Alpenrose (Sils/Segl Maria)

The Alpenrose was built in 1862 as a hotel/restaurant and is therefore the first and oldest guesthouse in Sils-Maria.

Friedrich Nietzsche, the great philosopher, used to take his meals almost every day in the Stüva Alpenrose. In the 60's the house became a victim of speculators. As a result, the hotel and restaurant were closed.

In 1999, the house was largely demolished and rebuilt, but no longer as a hotel but as a residence with condominiums. The requirement of the municipality of Sils was that a restaurant had to be integrated in the house!

Since 2010 the restaurant Alpenrose belongs to our family. I got the love for cooking in my parents' house, Hotel Sonne Fex.

The passion to be able to do more, has brought me into veschieden houses, cook apprenticeship in the hotel Suvrettahouse St. Moritz, after the apprenticeship.
