**Trendy restaurant in district 6 with down-to-earth, interesting, regional cuisine. Fresh from the market and full of ideas. There is always something going on at the Alte Leue.

Our house specialty is Tavolata. During the year we organize numerous events such as Metzgete Tavolata, Wild Tavolata, Fish and Shellfish Tavolata, Argentine Grill Evenings, New Year's Eve Tavolata, Christmas Tavolata and not to forget the Vegetarian Tavolata. Our Quebracho charcoal grill Big Green Egg is in operation every day and roasts wonderful Côte de Boeuf of Irish Dry Aged Hereford Beef or Muotathaler Veal Chop, our old Lion's Ear.
Of course there is also Pulpo or fish from the grill, not always.

Our cozy chestnut garden invites you to fine lunches with the four always changing lunch menus and then in the evening to extended Tavolata rounds.

The cozy interior is not a trendy place but an old preserved house with coffered paneling, Horgen Glarus chairs and Swiss walnut tables; furnished with a lot of charm and charisma.

Our friendly and courteous service will be happy to serve you; flexibility is definitely one of our service's strengths.

The wine cellar is very well stocked and with over 150 positions it leaves almost no wish unfulfilled. Our strengths are clearly in Bodeaux and Italy.
